Prerequisites for the Lifeguarding course:

·Must be at least 15 years old.

·Swimming skills test will be on the first day of class consisting of the following: Swim 300 yards continuously using the following: 100 yards Front Crawl, 100 yards Breast Stroke, 100 yards combination of Front Crawl and Breast Stroke.

·Swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 9 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. weight and swim 20 yards carrying the weight while kicking only in 1 minute, 40 seconds.
